Astley Park

Astley Park is Seaton Delaval’s biggest park based in a central place of Seaton Delaval just opposite Astley Community High School on Elsdon Avenue. In 2006 the local council got together with a selection of Astley High School students and designed a brand new teenage section for the park.

The park has many great things to amuse people of all ages.

Regular inspections from the local park keeper and the council are also made in Astley Park to make sure that the park is a safe and friendly place for all to be.

Astley Park is also home of the war memorial commemorating all the local fighters who dies in the World War and in World War 2. A ceremony is held every year on Remembrance Sunday by the local Salvation Army and other local associations.

The entrance to Astley Park is also home of The Millennium Gardens. This is a plot of land with flowers and plants in which were planted by all of the local schools Astley Community High School, Whytrig County Middle School, Seaton Delaval County First School and Holywell Village First School in 2000.

Later in 2008 the launch of the NEW Astley Park will be happening... More information as it happens.
